Any subjective notes on these block are our opinions and others may not agree. All features for various blocks may not have been tested here. There are also settings for these blocks on the WordPress dashboard.

Summary Block

• see summary at top of this page
• very useful list of sections of a page by Title or Heading Blocks, shows all levels of titles
• good to have at the top of a long page
• lists titles in same order as on the page with a link to that section of page
• if a long list best to set “load minimized” with a heading
• can change the color of the list
• need to update summary when a new heading or title is added to the page

Advanced Accordion Block

• For expanding text or lists
• Lots of settings for colors and icons
• Can put almost any block in the accordion

Advanced Button Block

• Lots of options for buttons
• can change style, colors, border, padding, hover, text background

---

Advanced Image Block

• More options than standard image block
• can make image a link to custom url or to lightbox image
• options on where to place caption over image
• Caption has title and subtitle
• overlay color refers to mouse over color tint

Advanced List Block

• More options than stndard list block
• icon, text, background color options
• indent option for whatever you highlight but option doesn’t always show

Advanced Table Block

• We have not thoroughly tested this block
• Can put background color in a cell
• options for border syles, widths, colors
• You can merge cells (using Shift button) and split merged cells.
• Some options seem a little flakey, had trouble with borders

Advanced Video Block

• Adds image of your choice to introduce video
• options for play button

Contact Form Block

• More horizontal than standard form, so takes up less vertical space
• recipient by default is site administrator but can change it in settings
• color options
• fewer options for fields, no interest check items
• might be good when don’t want to use much space
• We prefer the Jetpack form

+2 Count Up Block

• Make a block with animate counting numbers.
• Can have up to 3 columns with different counters
• can change text colors, symbol, size, placement
• Numbers are not synced with anything, need to be changed manually

Image Slider Block

• Manual slide show for images
• very similar to Jet Pack slideshow block, but this has more options
• options for hover color, caption placement and color, image size, image custom links
• on phone captions show on image so need to be sure text color shows up on image and use short captions

Newsletter Block

• Puts a form to subscribe on page
• need to add paragraph saying what subscribing for
• color options
• subscribe success message

Social Links Block

• Works well if put in correct links
• options for colors, size, spacing, icons

---

Recent Posts Block

• Displays list of recent posts
• Can choose how many to display and what info to display
• can add feature images
• can change number of columns can remove any posts from list

Tabs Block

• Create your own tabs that link to text
• Color options for text and backgrounds

---

Testimonials Block

• Block for creating personal profiles or team/group information.
• Up to 3 columns
• Options for text colors, avatar size, shape and border.

Products Block

• Great way to display products on a different page or use woocommerce blocks, see below
• can show all products, featured products or a single category
• great way to put some featured products on home page
• can show in columns or in a slider

Column Manager Block

• Column Block with lots of options for layout
• Options for each column
• Any blocks can go in a column

Map Block

• Needs API, so not tested here

Search Bar Block

• Search Bar with options for colors, icons, size
• Works well, searches entire site

---

Login/Registration Form Block

• Login or register for a site or page
• includes redirect link
• Options for colors, button, logo
• Can add Google reCaptcha
• Appears to have a few bugs
  • form extends past border
  • header doesn’t show
